LaGrangeLocated just fourteen miles west of Chicago, in Cook County, Illinois, LaGrange is a village of approximately 2.5 square miles and 15,600 residents. The village has an excellent school system and library. There are also many beautiful parks and playgrounds. Business in LaGrangeSmaller businesses predominate in LaGrange along with a number of light manufacturers in two small industrial areas. The West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a large regional Chamber of Commerce, and the LaGrange Business Association actively promote a strong business environment in the area. Local businesses boast attractive storefronts and sponsor a variety of annual community events. Many unique fine restaurants and boutiques co-exist with chains like Trader Joe's, Noodles, Chipotle, and Corner Bakery. Transportation and parkingLaGrange has the advantage of being easily accessible from every direction. Three major expressways: Interstate 290, Interstate 55, and the Tri-State Tollway 294 are all close by. The main street through the center of the Village, LaGrange Road, has 30,000 cars pass through daily. O'Hare International Airport, Midway Airport, and the Chicago Loop are each only 30 minutes away. Public transportation is provided by the Burlington Northern Commuter Rail System, which transports 5,500 passengers daily from the LaGrange Road train station and the Stone Avenue station. Amtrack and PACE bus service also serve the area. Rail freight service is provided by the Indiana Harbor Belt and the Burlington Northern east/west lines.
Western SpringsIncorporated in 1886, the Village received its name from the water of its clear, cool springs which have since withered away. Western Springs is located in Cook County, one of the most highly populated counties in the United States, lies about fifteen (15) miles southwest of Chicago's Loop and is considered to be a high quality inner ring suburban community of the greater Chicagoland area. It is a quiet, affluent Village with beautiful homes on various sized, meticulously maintained lots.
